Collection: EspetoSul

EspetoSul is a rotisserie system developed in Brazil to bring churrasco-style spit cooking to any backyard BBQ. Each skewer has its own battery-powered motor, so there's no cord and no fixed spit mount. It just sits across your grill and turns.

We stock the Portable Brazilian BBQ Rotisserie, a cordless, motorised stainless steel skewer that fits charcoal kettles, kamados, drums and most gas BBQs. Add the BBQ Kebab Carousel to spin a ring of kebabs at once, or the Fish and Vege Basket for salmon, prawns and veg that would fall off a skewer.

Spin a whole chook for our pit barrel chook, load it with picanha seasoned from BRZ Food, and grab charcoal to fire it. Click & collect in Brunswick or free shipping over $149.

What's in the range

  • Portable Brazilian BBQ Rotisserie: A cordless motorised skewer in stainless steel. It runs on AA batteries, needs no assembly and sits freestanding over a charcoal or gas BBQ. It suits a 57cm kettle and grills up to about 620mm across, with rod extensions available for bigger cookers.
  • BBQ Kebab Carousel: Metal discs that clip onto the rotisserie's central rod and hold a ring of kebabs that all turn together.
  • Fish and Vege Basket: A stainless basket that mounts on the rotisserie for salmon, prawns, chips and chopped vegetables.

How to cook with it

Light your charcoal and push it to the sides, or run a gas BBQ on medium. Load the meat on the skewer, centred and balanced, then set it across the grill and switch it on. Keep the lid off for that open-fire churrasco feel, or close it on a kettle to cook faster. Whole chickens, pork belly, lamb leg, picanha and chunky sausages all work well.

Tips

  • Tie roasts and whole birds with butcher's twine so nothing flops as it turns.
  • Put a drip tray under the meat to catch fat and stop flare-ups.
  • Check doneness with a probe from thermometers.
  • Learn fire management at one of our BBQ classes.
