Collection: Pellet Grills

A pellet grill is the easiest way into real wood-fired barbecue. You fill the hopper with hardwood pellets, set the temperature, and the controller feeds the fire for you, so you can smoke a brisket overnight or roast a chook on a weeknight without babysitting coals.

Every pellet grill here is a Traeger, and we stock the range end to end. The Ranger is the portable one for camping and the caravan. The Pro and Woodridge are the backyard workhorses. Ironwood adds more smoke and WiFIRE app control, and the Timberline is the top of the tree with an induction side burner.

Not sure which size you need? Think about how many you cook for and whether you want to smoke and grill on the same machine. The starter bundles add the cover, pellets and tools so you can fire it up the day it lands. Come and see them in Brunswick and the Que Crew will talk you through it.

Pellet grill buying guide

Every Traeger works the same way: an auger feeds hardwood pellets into a fire pot, a fan keeps them burning and the controller holds your set temperature. The differences between models are size, features and how much control you get from your phone.

Traeger Ranger: portable

A small, tabletop pellet grill for camping, caravans and balconies. Great for couples and road trips.

Traeger Pro and Woodridge: the backyard all-rounders

The most popular sizes for families. The Pro 575 and Woodridge range add WiFIRE so you can watch and adjust the cook from the Traeger app.

Traeger Ironwood: more smoke, more control

Ironwood adds Super Smoke for extra smoke flavour at lower temperatures, plus WiFIRE. The XL gives you room for big cooks.

Traeger Timberline: top of the range

The Timberline and Timberline XL are Traeger's flagship grills, with an induction side burner for searing and sauces.

Pellets matter

Use quality hardwood pellets and keep them dry. Different woods suit different meats: try hickory or mesquite for beef, apple or cherry for pork and chicken.

FAQs

Is a pellet grill a real smoker?

Yes. It burns 100% hardwood pellets, so you get genuine wood smoke. It is also a grill and an oven, so you can roast and bake on it too.

Can a pellet grill sear a steak?

It can grill hot enough for a good steak. For a hard sear, many cooks reverse sear: smoke low first, then finish hot. The Timberline's induction burner adds another option.

Do I need WiFi on a pellet grill?

No, but WiFIRE lets you check and adjust the temperature from your phone, which is handy on long overnight cooks.

Which Traeger should I buy?

For most families, a Woodridge or Pro. For more smoke and app control, an Ironwood. For the best of everything, a Timberline. For camping, the Ranger.

What is in a Traeger starter bundle?

Each bundle adds accessories to get you cooking straight away. Check the bundle's product page for the exact contents.
