Collection: Looftlighter

Looftlighter logo

Looftlighter is the Swedish electric firestarter that lights charcoal and wood with nothing but superheated air. It was first sold in Sweden in 2006, and The Que Club is its official Australian distributor. Point it at the coals, pull the trigger, and you've got a fire in about 60 seconds. No lighter fluid, no firelighter taste on your food, no newspaper.

We stock the Looftlighter Classic, the original that suits kettles, kamados and fireplaces, and the Looftlighter Pro, which runs up to 760°C with about 30% more airflow and an auto-ignition program for offsets, big lump and daily use. The Looftlighter Case is a hard case that fits both.

Hold it on the coals after the first spark and the fan stokes them to cooking heat in minutes. Use it on a kamado, offset smoker, wood-fired pizza oven or fire pit, then load up on charcoal and see the rest of our fuel. It needs a power point nearby. Free shipping over $149.

Looftlighter: light your fire with nothing but hot air

The Que Club is the official Australian distributor of Looftlighter, the Swedish electric firestarter. Point it at your charcoal or wood, pull the trigger, and a jet of superheated air gets the fire going in about 60 seconds. No lighter fluid, no firelighter taste on your food.

It works on kamados, kettles, offsets, pizza ovens, fire pits and the fireplace. Keep it on the coals after the first spark and the fan stokes them to cooking heat in minutes.

FAQs

How does a Looftlighter work?

It blows superheated air (no flame) onto charcoal or wood until it ignites, usually in about 60 seconds, then keeps fanning the coals to heat.

Looftlighter Classic or Pro?

The Classic does the job for kettles, kamados and fireplaces. The Pro pushes about 30% more airflow at up to 760°C and has auto-ignition, so it suits offsets, big lump and daily use.

Can I use it on a kamado?

Yes. Light one spot in the lump, close the lid with the vents open, and you're cooking in minutes.

Can I use it in a pizza oven or fire pit?

Yes, on wood or charcoal. Not on gas or pellet ovens.

Is it better than a chimney starter?

Faster and no paper. A chimney needs no power; the Looftlighter needs a power point nearby (the cord is about 3 m).

Is The Que Club the official Looftlighter distributor?

Yes, we're the official Australian distributor of Looftlighter.

What warranty does it have?

Ask the crew for the current Australian warranty terms on each model.

Is it Looftlighter or Looft Lighter?

Both. Looft now calls them Looft Lighters; most people still say Looftlighter.
