Last night's cook makes the best lunch. This jar is sized for a proper serve, or a portion of stew or chilli to share, and it goes into a work bag or the boot without fuss.

It holds 709ml in double-wall vacuum insulated 18/8 stainless, so hot food stays hot and a cold salad stays cold until you're ready. The MagVent lid lets steam escape as you open it, which stops the lid fighting you when the contents are hot. It's 100% leakproof when properly sealed, and the two-piece lid comes apart so you can clean every bit. The jar and both lid parts are dishwasher safe.

It's also handy for carrying a warm sauce or a batch of beans to a mate's place, ready to serve.

How much does it hold?

709ml (24oz). Being double-wall vacuum insulated, it keeps hot food warm and cold food chilled.

How do I get the MagVent lid off?

Turn it anticlockwise. It stops after about a quarter turn while it lets the pressure out, then just keep turning and the lid comes right off.

Will it leak in my bag?

Not when the lid is done up properly. YETI rates the food jar 100% leakproof with the lid fastened.

Is it safe for food?

Yes. It's food safe and BPA free, for hot or cold food. It holds temperature but won't bring food up or down to a safe temperature, so heat or chill it first and follow normal food safety.

Is there anything I shouldn't put in it?

Skip fizzy drinks, dairy and anything fermenting. Over time they build pressure, which can make the lid hard to undo or blow it off and hurt someone.

Can I microwave it or wash it in the dishwasher?

No microwave, ever. It's stainless steel, which can spark a fire or cause injury in there. The dishwasher is fine, and the two-piece lid pulls apart for washing.

What's the warranty?
